Our Irish Wholemeal Breadmix is a wholesome, nutritious brown bread packed with vitamins and minerals. We add NO salt, sugar, additives or preservatives to our mix, only natural ingredients. Adding ground Kelp to our bread fortifies it with the natural goodness of seaweed and enhances the flavours of the ingredients. Take our customer’s word for it…it’s only gorgeous!!!

Kelp, a brown seaweed, is nature’s richest source of Iodine. Iodine is essential for healthy thyroid function and for brain development in young children. Kelp is known to promote a feeling of fullness and therefore can help with weight management. Seaweed only contains 3-5% of sodium so is an excellent substitute for salt to flavour foods. Use in sweet or savoury dishes to enhance flavours and boost the nutritional value.

Dillisk/Dulse, a red seaweed common in Irish waters, is showing great potential in the area of heart health. Recent studies here in Ireland and in the U.K. have proven that elements contained in it have the ability to inhibit the process that results in high blood pressure.  This seaweed is also an excellent source of Protein and Vitamin B12 – both of which are essential for vegetarians and vegans, in fact for everyone! Dillisk is also rich in Iron, which is essential for carrying oxygen to all the cells in your body, Calcium which builds healthy bones and teeth and Magnesium which helps maintain normal heart rhythm. Dillisk can also be used instead of salt to flavour foods.
